Overall, the Finnish system is simply more relaxed than our own. Aside from the above, there is no uniform, lunches and transport are paid for, and everyone has a school near them. There are few fee paying schools and overall schools are more financially forgiving than what we find in Ireland.

In fact, education is fairer in Finland. There is no program for "gifted" student; those more able students are expected to help the ones who are struggling. Despite this, Finland is recognised as being one of the leading countries in maths, reading and sciences. I think we could all learn a lot from this more laid back system.
